JAPAN, MAN EASY TARGET

We recently introduced you to the young Lebanese talent Laeticia Arca, who goes by the slick moniker Japan, Man. Not only is there style here, there’s plenty of substance too as already showcase in prior single ‘The Law’. Now, the fifteen-year-old musician has returned with even more DIY pop in the form of ‘Easy Target’. The dreamy, reverb-rich song delves into anxiety and neurotic thinking that the youth of today know all too well. Commenting on the track Laeticia Arca says that “Easy Target is a song I wrote about your own mind turning on you and making you feel targeted by almost everything. It’s about self-consciousness overtaking common sense and assurance." While thoughts may have gone astray, Japan, Man’s accomplished sounds certainly has not. We’re mega excited for the unveiling of this impossibly young person’s debut EP this Spring. - Hannah Thacker
